BeautyCare.com Launches as First Global Beauty Portal for Consumers and Professionals
Gives both consumers and professionals easy access to a wide range of beauty information, shopping, and advice
WASHINGTON DC -- Consumers and professionals now have an independent source to find beauty information, shopping, specials, expert advice, and trends quickly and easily at BeautyCare.com.
The newly launched web site, http://www.beautycare.com, also offers original content, breaking news from the beauty and fashion industries, auctions, career and investment areas, and an interactive community. BeautyCare.com, which boasts a business directory of more than 2,000 beauty-related web sites, provides visitors with information on topics ranging from aromatherapy, men's toiletries, cosmetics, hair care, fragrance and skin care.
"BeautyCare.com is the portal for all women and men who want to view the latest trends, buy an item or research topics ranging from how to get rid of baldness to the hottest selling lipstick," said Mona Sehgal, founder and CEO. "While there are many cosmetics retailers on the Internet, we are the first to bring the entire community together and give it an independent voice."
BeautyCare.com, the first in-house venture from Internet incubator Inqubator.com, has already piqued the interest of thousands of visitors, signing up members worldwide.
"The wonder of the Internet is that many people who did not have traditional access to information can now turn up volumes on a subject with a few keystrokes. They key is to make sure they receive the right information," she said.
Among areas of the web site, the most popular so far has been the "Ask the Expert" column. Among the many questions BeautyCare.com has received, about one-third have come from outside the United States.
Also attracting visitors is the access to global industry news from PR Newswire, the world's leading distributor of information from companies to the media, financial community and now consumers.
The company's tagline "Because We All Want to Look Good", emphasizes the BeautyCare.com vision to include information for every segment interested in beauty. BeautyCare.com plans to expand into the ethnic, teen, bridal and mature beauty vertical markets.
"We are taking an integrated approach to beauty by providing information on promotions in retail stores, as well as beauty salons and spas," Sehgal said. "It's tough to get your hair cut over the Internet, but we can help you find the style you want, recommend and locate a salon and perhaps even provide a coupon for a discount."
BeautyCare.com, http://www.beautycare.com, is the Internet's most comprehensive resource for beauty and beauty related information. With sections including a directory, shopping, members' specials, advice, trends, and the professional marketplace, BeautyCare.com serves the needs of consumers and beauty care professionals worldwide.
