French Fragrances Changes Corporate Identity To FFI Fragrances

MIAMI, May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- French Fragrances, Inc. (Nasdaq: FRAG), a
leading manufacturer and marketer of prestige fragrances, announced today that
it has updated its corporate identity to "FFI Fragrances" to better reflect
the significant transformation of its business since its inception in 1992.
E. Scott Beattie, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer,
commented, "We are pleased to announce this change in corporate identity, as
we feel the name 'FFI Fragrances' more accurately depicts our current business
and better embodies the future direction of our Company. Throughout the past
eight years, we have experienced tremendous growth through our ability to
successfully build a strong portfolio of brands. This change not only
reinforces our strategy of becoming a multi-branded resource for our key
retailers and suppliers, but also will enable us to brand our corporate
identity going forward."
The new "FFI Fragrances" corporate identity and logo will be prominently
displayed on the Company's new e-commerce business-to-business web site, which
is expected to be launched this summer. This web site will serve as a
showcase for building awareness of the Company's products, as well as provide
intranet and extranet capabilities. It also will allow the Company to better
and more efficiently serve its retailers and suppliers.
The new "FFI Fragrances" logo can be seen in the Company's Annual Report,
which currently is being mailed to shareholders. The Company currently does
not intend to change its legal or trading name from French Fragrances, Inc. to
FFI Fragrances.
FFI Fragrances is a rapidly growing manufacturer and marketer of prestige
fragrances and related skin treatment and cosmetic products in the
approximately $40 billion U.S. cosmetics and toiletries industry. Through its
e-commerce business-to-business platform, FFI Fragrances sells its products to
more than 35,000 retail locations, including department stores, mass
merchants, drug stores and independent fragrance, cosmetic and specialty
stores.
