I'm another one disappointed in the new Clairol products, which have broken my hair off at the top. I used Summer Blonde from 1966 until its discontinuation. Does anyone know of any plans to bring it back? Or another product that works the same way with wonderful results? Thank you, AN
AK Nash talkshak@iglou.comi was reading all the above. don't know exactly what they are talking about BUT it may be my problem also.....for 100 years i used cloral instant whip creme lightener 2 oz bottle with 2 oz peroxide...it worked just enough bleaching for my golden blonde and enough color for my skin color . i do not do drab or red's very well. i miss it so very much. i saw the new replacement with the booster and not for me. i do not care to use a booster. can you help me. will love you for the rest of my life.
louise martin louofseminole@aol.comI also miss the old Clairol summer blonde!! I hope to get it back

Mirjam somir@hotmail.comI have been coloring my hair, for years, and since Perfect 10 came out, I have used that. I thought, I needed a lighter color (I am 75), so I went to 8GN. When I started to color, I had big trouble getting the liquid out. It was like it was curdled. When I went to get my hair done, she asked me, if I had even colored one side.I will have to color again, in a week, before, I go in again.
Marlys A Riessen sugarbluemom@hotmail.comi too have used the original clairol summer blonde for years and cannot understand why they would discontinue this product. NOTHING ELSE COMPARES to this and the new formula is very harsh and turns my hair orange not to mention very damaging. PLEASE! clairol! bring the summer blonde back!
barb barbtheblonde@hotmail.comI have 2 boxes of it for $59 plus $10 for shipping
Laura bonanno laurafayebon@aol.comI have 2 boxes of it for $59 plus $10 for shipping
Laura bonanno laurafayebon@aol.comI can not believe they discontinued summer blonde by clairol...it was an excellent product. How dumb are they....
Dee Kaye putoutthelights@aol.comI went onto the www.clairol.com and sent an email letting them know I afraid to use the new product after reading all the bad reviews on this website. I recommend that everyone go onto the clairol site and let them know let them know how you feel. And tell them you what the old formula back as I did. I have used it for over 17 years and have long blonde hair to my waist with no damage.
SANDRA RUIZ CIRCASAND@YAHOO.COMI have found that the new formula is damaging my hair. It feels unhealthy and brittle now. I'm going back to my natural hair color because after three times with this new formula I'm afraid that my hair will be permantly damaged. I've used the old formula for about 5 years, and whenever I used it felt that my hair felt better than before. has anyone had any luck with finding the old one? Think we can contact clairol and ask for the old one back?
courtney beachgoer9I am looking for the old Summer Blonde. I have used it for a number of years and am very unhappy with the new one. Please help me out . It's bad enough to have to face the other problems of getting old without you taking such an important thing away from us. HELP!!!!
nancy nbrennan@hotmail.comI haven't been able to find the "new" Summer Blonde yet, but I've been using the "old" one for over 10 years and I love(d) it! I'll be really, really disappointed if the new product is as described in the other posts.
Marilyn C macherry4@cox.netI used the new formula of Clairol Summer Blonde once for half the time I used with the old formula. My hair was left with a horrible peroxide/chlorine pool look and feel. I was truly disappointed after having used old formula for years for subtle lightening when natural color seemed drab.
MSB marysue@caverns.comI too have been using Summer Blonde for over 25 years and am having trouble finding it. I did find some of the new formula a few months ago at double the price but now it has disappeared again. There's really no other highlighter like it on the market and I want it back. DOES ANYONE AT CLARIOL READ THIS OR CARE???????
Rebecca Hotop rebeccapaints4u@aol.comI HAVE BEEN USING THE OLD FORMULA SUMMER BLONDE FOR OVER 30 YEARS. THEY HAVE CHANGED IT AND NOW MY HAIR IS TOOOOO BLONDE. THE NEW ONE ALSO DRYS MY HAIR OUT EVEN USING THE CONDITIONER.
CLAIROL HAS ENOUGH BLEACHING PRODUCTS ON THE SHELF
AND I WANT MY OLD FORMULA BACK!!!!!
MARY MARTIN MMARTIN@AIRHYDROPOWER.COMI have been using clairol summer blonde hair lightner since i was out of high school and that was many years ago. I have been looking for several months and can't find it either, they have changed the box and colors. i used it and it made my hair super blonde which i didn't want. I am so sad they have D/C it. It was perfect for my hair, and kept my hair healthy. kathy bradley
kathy Bradley kat-bradley@msn.comHi...
I was out looking today myself and it looks like they have changed the packaging box and DOUBLED the price (K-Mart)....I'm going tomorrow and see if I can find any old ones that might still be on the shelves somewhere and buy them...take care...
Barb
Barb Sprbarb@aol.comI have been looking all over for Clariol Summer Blonde Highlighting Kit and cannot find it anywhere. Every place that I have bought it in the past does not have it in stock. Have they discontinued manufacturing it?? I have no idea what to use in its place if they have. Other products have left my hair with a brassy look. PLEASE help!!
